Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Experience with installation, configuration, and management of enterprise-level network devices.
  • Ability to configure participant devices for branch sites, ensuring reliable and secure connections.
  • Expertise in dynamic routing protocols, including EIGRP, DMVPN, and OSPF.
  • Proficiency in VLAN configurations, TCP/IP protocol management, and IP address assignments to maintain a secure and resilient network.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to investigate and identify the root cause of network incidents reported by the NOC Team.
  • Collaboration with the NOC Team to analyze recurring issues, recommend network performance improvements, and report to the Team Lead.
  • Ability to escalate complex or critical network incidents to senior engineers or management when required.
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring tools to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Knowledge of implementing network performance optimizations, including upgrading routers, switches, and managing routing protocols.
  • Expertise in network security protocols, ensuring all configurations comply with internal security policies and industry regulations.
  • Ability to maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, troubleshooting procedures, and performance reports.
  • Strong reporting skills, with the ability to provide detailed network performance reports to management and senior engineers.
  • Familiarity with supporting network infrastructure expansion projects, including hardware deployments, upgrades, and network expansion.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors and service providers to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and updates of network equipment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in network engineering or bachelor’s degree in engineering or IT-related field.
  • Certified network professional in Cisco CCNA or higher, with expertise in next-gen firewalls (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of network system architecture, services, network security, proxy, and firewall technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco DMVPN technology.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication (English).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite.
