Database Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and replicate especially in Oracle Database. MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL databases are preferred.
- Install and configure server software and related products.
- Ensure availability and performance of database systems.
- Monitor database performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
- Perform database as well as application tuning to ensure performance standards.
- Conduct capacity planning to accommodate growth and changes.
- Update, enhance and modify database as required in order to meet service levels.
- Establish sound recovery procedures and policies for backup.
- Perform user management, including role and privilege assignment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain databases, including regularly checking for errors.
- Work with internal and external teams for technical support
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or any relevant discipline.
- At least 3+ years DBA experience, preferably as a Production Support DBA.
- Extensive experience in Oracle performance tuning including server configuration and tracing
- Experience in Oracle and other open-source DB are preferred
- Experience with Oracle GRID Control, ASM, Recovery Manager, Import / Export and Datapump
- Experience with Linux in a multi-domain environment including basic commands, perl and shell scripting
- Experience in DB maintenance in High volume OLAP and OLTP systems
- Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts- SQL and TSQL
- Outstanding knowledge of Oracle 11g / 12c / 19c, Oracle 11G RAC, Oracle 12c RAC, Oracle 19c RAC
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL and Oracle Server (All types of replications)
